Midterm Results

Congratulations on making it through your first CS 110 exam! The midterm was not easy, but as a class, you did quite well.

Some statistics:

• Min: 9 (26.5%)
• Max: 32 (94.11%)
• Mean: 25.3 (74.4%)
• Std deviation: 5.9 (17.4%)
• First quartile: 22.3 (65.4%)
• Median: 27 (79.4%)
• Third quartile: 29.8 (87.5%)

Your raw score has been posted in your online gradebook, and you can pick up your exam from me in person (after class or in office hours). I am adding one point to every person’s raw score, so the max score is scaled to a 33 and the median score is scaled to a 28.

A passing grade is 50% after the scaling is done. According to official course policy, you must pass the midterm to pass the class. If you feel that you underperformed for a specific reason and feel you can invest much more time to be able to pass the class, email me.

If you have concerns about how your exam was graded, come talk to me. All regrade requests must come through me. If you want to make a regrade request, you need to talk to me by August 10th.
